I hope you are going to post about what you cook in it. I bought one earlier in the year (with strong and noble thoughts about preparing a wholesome home-cooked meal before I go to work and finding the delicious results waiting for me when I get home). I am ashamed to admit I have used it twice.
Father Christmas knows exactly what to bring a busy quilter! Where is "home" for you, Clare? I have this notion that you are an expat living in France. Ah, poor Charlie Brown tree didn't measure up for Alex, eh? No matter. There's a tree out there for everyone.
What a state of the art crockpot!! I have an ancient one but I've never learned to make much. I look at the new modern ones and think I could probably do magic with them. What do you think? Does the chef make the crockpot work or is it the other way around?

You will never be sorry. I use mine all the time.
I am sure I will regret asking this, but what is it Clare?
My MIL gave me one of these and they are wonderful. Yep, Santa came early for you!

Is this a slowcooker? I use mine all the time, love it.
