WiP Wednesday

Rachel's quilt is now pinned (again) and I hope to start tying it tonight. I have four more Qs4L to make up and I am starting to think that I am going to have farm these out for basting, quilting and binding. I have a Family Quilt to make up for my aunt's 80th birthday in May and there is still sister's wedding quilt. I desperately want to start these as I know I can turn them round quite quickly, but when. Not enough time, not enough time. What is it the White Rabbit says? I stayed up last night and watched Bridges of Madison County. Never seen it before. What fantastic scenery. Are those bridges for real? Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the end so can someone please put me out of my misery. Did Meryl Streep go with Clint or not? In the meantime, a bit of local colour discovered in the main square in Mareuil last week.

NO WAY am I tellig you what happens at the end of that film!!!!! You have to get it back and watch it. Really!

And yes those bridges are apparently real. Would love to see them one day.

I have so many quilting projects I want to get started on too but just cannot find the time or energy right now. Good luck Clare!

I've never the movie so I can't help you out.

I love the truck. What an awesome way to show off talent.

I, too, have many projects to work on and so little time. I think it's a common problem with quilters.

Clare, Yes the bridges are real. A bit of triva about them, they are in the county where Fons & Porter are (well known American quilting team) and they have a TV show, quilt shop, quite popular, they sell patterns, books, DVDs of the TV series. We have covered bridges here in my county in Indiana also. I've seen the movie (just my type - a romantic tear-jerker) and if you REALLY want to know the ending, email me, and I'll tell you what happens! I cry every time I see it.
It's spring! :D

Hi Clare, I saw some covered bridges during a vacation in the New England States back in 1997.
It is a sweet film and Clint and Merryl are doing a fablous job there.

Yes, the bridges are real and you really need to watch the movie again. In fact, I need to watch it again, too.

It was a long time ago when I saw the movie - so I couldn't really remember the ending either - but I do remember the lovely scenery.

I must agree - it's a great movie. Some day I'd love to see more than just the pictures of the bridges.
