Ab Fab Update

Really far too much hand quilting going on in this house and not enough piecing, but needs must. At the last count I had 5, yes 5 hand quilting WiPs.

So I thought I'd let you see what I've been doing on the Ab Fab front.

Ab Fab

Old wine vats are great props!

Close up. This time using the back of the courtyard gates LOL.

Ab Fab

Weather has, at long last, taken a turn for the better so I'm off again.

Lots to do and so little time to do it in (i.e before the next deluge). So

A+

Ab Fab is ab fab!! Looks terrific. And I wouldn't mind having an old wine barrel around here...or a new one... ;)

It's really coming along nicely. You have made a lot of progress since I last saw it. Yeah for the nice weather!

I really never new what quilting was about. Although I did visit your site a few times, I never got to read enough to be better informed. Until today that is... your quilt look great and you seem to be having a lot of fun making them...

Beautiful photo of a garden in your header. If this is yours, I can understand why you love it here, despite the crap weather we are currently having (it's worst in England, I have been told).

I like the way your blog is structured : simple but effective. I am not at all happy with mine and I am considering moving to a Wordpress platform, a bit like you did, but I would host the files so as to have more freedom over the look of the thing. I would not recommend Blogger (my current platform) to anyone... You wouldn't believe how difficult, under-featured and slow this blogging platform is.

Passez une bonne semaine, et à la prochaine. W

Clare this is coming along beautifully. Hand-quilting is very therapeutic, n'est pa?

So was the wine barrel full when you got it??

Oh and I like your banner quote too :)

Aahh... I like the way your photos show how you use pins for basting. Instead of pinning the whole thing, it looks like you keep lines pins moving ahead of the stitching. Very practical!

Lovely colours in this piece!
