So down to basics.
The start of My Quilting Adventure.
The start of Tamzin's quilt.
I'm in a quandry about this. Can someone advise please. The letters on the top line get smaller as you go from left to right. I'm not at all sure about the 2 lowercase M's, but as the one in TaMzin is the 3rd attempt to get it right, that one is staying. It's the one in ToM that I'm worried about. Do I leave it or chuck it and start again?
Sunday's bargains.
And last, but not least, beautiful Brantôme. I love this photo. I was sitting in the car last Sunday waiting for DH and Alex, got out the camera and clicked - voila!

Clare lovely pix! Congrats again on getting your handquilting mojo going - it's going to be a lovely piece :)
And I love that your part-Bengal managed to sneak his way into the photo! All your photos make me want to be in France too!
For what it's worth, I could read all the words made up of your letters. I do like the 'm' in Tamzin the best though :)
I'd say leave the M. The letters are supposed to be wonky. More character that way. I just love your new fabrics. I am on a B&W binge right now and my collection is growing. Nothing as cute as the one on the left yet though.
Looks like paradise-- Hey-- you've been busy...leave them...I'm with Joyce -- it's wonky
Love your letters!! Don't worry about teh size.
What a peaceful place that looks to be!
I'd leave the M also. You can always bring it up a little bit by putting a strip of the background fabric under it before you sew the letters together.
I like the M's -- all of them. I agree with Hedgehog, don't worry about the size. I always enjoy the pictures you take of the lovely places there in France. Thank you.
Love the letters and enjoyed your scenery pics, do you realise the photos are huge on today's blog, well where I am they are, Tracey
Those letters are great -- you can always add strips to make them "fit" together! What a lovely spot you photographed!
I think the variation in letter size can really add to the quilt. Look at the setting of "incredible" across the masthead of Tonya's Lazy Gal Quilting blog -- the i's are so different from each other, and some of the letters are really short. I could look at it a long time! Much more interesting than all even letters. (But note, it's easy to give this advice, and hard to take -- I'm making some wonky letters myself and fretting over the sizes!)
hmm, don't think I have anything else to add. you've already gotten some marvelous advice. The quilt is looking great.
