I prefer the first one cos the squares aren't exactly "square" and sashing in between each one will sort of "square" the block up. Do you understand what I am talking about?
Comments on a postcard please!
Hi, Claire! Taking a tour of the Q4P-ring, and thought I'd introduce myself. Love your quilt top! Tha colours are beautiful. And I have to agree with you: the first alternative setting is the best! Although the slightly off square center in alternative two makes an interesting focal point.
Yes, the first one looks better :) Beautiful colours!
Thank you for your comment about the V&A. I guess I was lucky. There was no one else in the embroidery rooms! :) What a wonderful museum, I could have spent days in it.

I agree with you! The first one has "more power", if I can say it that way. Beautiful colors!!
Oui, la premiere!
I think the first one is great - makes it look a little like a stained glass window.
The one with the sashing, definitely.
I'll add my vote to the majority too - definitely the first one
If do you want my opinion I prefer tht first. ciao ciao from Italy

I prefer the first one. Not sure exactly why but it pleases my eye better.
I agree with everyone else - the first one wins hands down in my book.
