Please Do Not Adjust Your Set

In need of an 80th birthday present. Don't have time to rustle something up.

This has been "hanging" about for ages

so I took it down and am machine quilting it. Just straight lines, using 1" masking tape as a guide.

All I can say is Hmmmmm. Interesting!

More soon.

Great fun and very colorfully creative. She will love having home made gift of a quilt made with love and celebration! Your quilting looks perfect for this! And because I love words, and meaning an seek symbolism in them, I thought you might like to know that in ancient times the square symbolized the feminine, and the earth. I think that more than works! It is very grounding and yet energetic at the same time..a good balance!

That is lovely! May I copy this for Mum's 80th next May? It could become the 80th Birthday Present de le Monde...(or la Monde - is a long time since I had to be concerned about the sex of the world)

I'll have to remember that masking tape trick the next time I want to do multiple straight(ish) lines. I am so much more of a piecer than a quilter...

This will make a wonderful birthday gift. :- )

What a fabulous gift to get at any age! Lucky person. . .

I think straight line quilting is perfect in many ways. Although I tend to do the "not thinking straight" version! hee hee!
