The weather has been glorious, sunny and warm and ideal for gardening.
However, what have I been doing?
Sewing up a storm!
I don't think the photos of this are ever going to come out brilliantly. There's far too much colour in there.
They are getting really addictive and I keep on cutting up yet more batik strips.
And for my next trick!
As you know, The Young One is music mad and I've been meaning to make her a wall hanging for ages. I gave her a list of musical quotations and she chose this one.
Can you guess what it's going to say?
Must go. The Old One has persuaded me to go outside!
More soon.

Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!
Well, except for quilting of course, and yours is so much fun...it truly is like harvesting nature's bounty in the sunshine..only with a sewing machine!
PS
I do love your quoting me in your profile, you 'crazy mad Englishwoman living in France.'
You see it doesn't take a J.K. Rowlings or a Tonya Ricucci to come up with good 'word play' but I must say the Young One is lucky to have you in the sewing room, and the Old One out in the garden, and the rest of us..online!
well, michelle of course outdid me. as always, but my guess was definitely "ah, music" hee hee hee. if sewing has become naughty then we're all in trouble! can you take your machine out onto the patio and sew there in the sunshine? gardening shmardening....
I don't mind missing the gardening, but I do love sunshine -- especially in the spring! But then, those fabrics are sunshine itself. :)
I have the same problem. I want to be outside but I would really rather sew! No clue on the quote.
I used to see it as a problem, Clare, and now i EMBRACE that I love being inside sewing!!!!! or my fav is putting my Roxy out on the backporch in the morning and sewing....Don't feel guilty, your talent and us admirers in BLogland thank you for sharing and wanting to stay in and create! I can't wait to watch this quilt with the musical phrase or quote come to pass. Em
