What's in a Name?

I was supposed to be making my name for Tonya, but decided that I liked it too much. I might do her another one or just send her some letters and orphan blocks if she still wants them. I suddenly realised that I have never done a family quilt for us! Did one for my Mum here and one for my Aunt's 80th birthday here. Never one for us. So I'm going to start one. I love Lynne's alphabet sampler and her Semonile patchwork bands. I've got a thing about white backgrounds at the moment. Perhaps it's because Spring has arrived with a bang! Ohhhh - hot news. I won a prize last week. More on that soon when it arrives. Is it me, or is everything in the right hand column all squashed up? Wondering if I should change the template again, or leave it? Perhaps go back to Minima White? Off into the sunshine I go - skippity skippity hop hop hop!

Isn't it heaven to feel the sun again. Heating off in our house and yesterdays walk was just blissful. Bright blue sky and blossom everywhere.

Your sidebar my dear, is fine! So is your name and yep, you should really start a family quilt!

Your sidebar looks fine to me - it's good to have plenty of space in the middle to fill with lovely chatter. I love the look of Tonya's wonky letters, but they seemed to be very wasteful of material when I made some - or is it just me?

I like the way you did your name with the white background. It makes the letters pop. Don't you just love the warm weather? I don't want to stay inside.

I love the multi-colors in the letters. Great idea.

I know the problem of not making a family quilt. I'm about to start one (have been about to start one for quite awhile now!). Love your name -- great fabric, too!

Lovely letters - I like the big A . How nice to have a short name (JASMINE means a banner not a quilt!). I love Lynne's sampler, thank you for the link.
Your side column looks fine. I am still trying to figure out how to add stuff to my side. I just can't figure out HTML stuff. But I bet there are computer geeks who don't know how to quilt. Or cook.
Hugs from Oz,
Jas

Wow, your name block looks great...I like the multi-color fabric against the white.

Have fun with the family quilt! Are you asking the family for input on this one? Ha ha!

Don't rub it in about the sunshine and warm weather. We don't have any of either yet. It could get here any day now and it wouldn't be too early! We're all ready!

It's very 'Spring-y'! No wonder you don't want to part with it just as the weather is warming :)
