Decision made (in part)

Thanks to everyone for your help on the decision making for the border. However, after much umming and ahhing, this is what I've gone for. The black will end up about an inch wide all the way round. I may add a white border interspersed with purple blocks, or just leave it. The Old One is for leaving it and, I hate to say it, but for once I think he's right. Don't you just hate it when they suddenly pretend to know what they are talking about and get it right!

It's lookin' good! I like the black border now that it's narrow -- in the audition it was large and kind of swallowed the quilt. The couple stray pieces in it add to the fun. :)

This width works really well -- blends into the whole while giving a clear stop point :-) Good choice.

This version looks great! And I really like the stray bits of purples in the border. Adds a touch of the unexpected!

Sheesh, you move and then I drop off the face of blogland! My vote would have been for the yellow border but as I look at this now it looks very pulled together and ... cozy ... somehow. Well done!
