I rustled up 2 long strips of piano keys, sewed one of them on. The consenus of opinion was too much. Off they came.
So here we are.
It's gone into the flimsey bag. I really must get my head round unpicking that batting.
Got another project going at the moment.
A+

I actually really like the red border - kinda brings it all together - save the piano keys for something else - they're bound to come in for something
Clare -- what striking colors-- belongs in an art gallery or something....great job
Yes, I like the red all around. It looks great.
That border is perfect in contrast to the colors in the center. It's a happy quilt.
Hi Clare, I love it just the way it lays. Good decision, can't wait to see it become a quilt *VBS* And hurray for new projects! Hugs, Finn
About the Caliente book...I told Tonya I didn't see anything we haven't seen before, but the fabrics from Guatamala are great and the color inspire new ideas. Connecting Threads has it in the March '08 catalog at $18 American. Better than the original $26.
Wow Clare - the consensus was right! Looks great :)
I love the red! It looks hot, makes those crumbs sparkle. :)
It does look good, doesn't it! I had a peek at your houses and am green with envy - they are so full of character and I believe I have a suitable space on my wall.................
I've just tracked you to the Quilts4Leukaemia charity. I'm keen to do something quilty for charity and have been looking for a charity based in Europe - can you tell me anything about the group?
great quilt! the red is wonderful!
It looks lovely Clare -- a fun project! Can't wait to see what you are cooking up for your summer class :0).
I like the crumb blocks sewn together without sashing. I have only made one crumb quilt and it is with sashing. I must make another one without sashing. Yours is great, so colorful and happy!
...as the beastly bride in 4 weddings and a Funeral would say...."it does work, doesn't it!"
Love it, very arty! Tracey
It's wonderful. I love that big border.
I love your beautiful quilts, I love quilts, I grew up sleeping under my grandmothes quilts so I can appreciate the love and work that goes into each one, but do not have the talent to make them myself, so I cheat. My site is for cheaters, I sell other peoples work. They do not have the personal touch that these do but they are beautiful. When I retire I plan on quilting, I think I owe myself and everyone that shares there work, tips, and wonderful blogs that much. Thanks for the peek.
