What's on the design wall?
Boo nearly there.
"Whoo hoo hoo said the Hook-Eared Owl". Anyone read The Midnight Folk by John Masefield? Real Halloween story involving nasty wizards, witches and a little boy's quest to find the treasure of Santa Barbara which his great grandfather lost. Brilliant book for adults and kids.
There is also Haunted House by Jan Pienkowski. I think that's what I'm going to call this quilt.
It's going to be rather big, but no problem. The wall where it will be hung for Halloween forever after is huge!
Really enjoying doing this quilt and can't wait to go to Foire Fouille to buy loads of plastic spiders, wobbly eyes and other Halloween goodies to sew on to it. The publicity for Halloween hasn't started coming through the letter box yet, but it can't be far off.
And this is Tamzin's quilt. Ready for hand quilting.
Thanks for all the lovely supportive comments over the last few days. I don't normally dump, but when I do I do!

Congrats on getting so far with Tamzin's quilt!! Looks great. Can't believe you've started something new already - can't wait to see how the Halloween quilt progresses!
Tamzin's quilt looks lovely and I love your halloween blocks - I always think of France when I think of halloween as it was that time of year when we first went over to house-hunt and the mall at Auchan Dunkerque was full of entertainers, face painters and people giving away babapapa (forgive the spelling) - candyfloss to everyone else. The Campanile hotel we stayed in had super halloween candles on all the tables of black cats, witches and pumpkins etc and the staff gave the spare ones to our children to keep. This combined with all the bright cheery chrysanths in the cemeteries for All Souls Day will be my real first impression of moving to France (wistful sigh........)
The Halloween wall hanging is looking spooky already!
great job finishing up the tamzin top - sorry it caused you fits.
I LOVE the house blocks you're going right now. very very graphic. love it. haven't read either of the books you've recommended - I'll keep an eye out for them.
Wonderful that you were able to find more of the fabric for Tamzins quilt. It looks great!
Would you like some Halloween fabrics? There's all kinds of creepy looking things on offer here -- spider-web lace, skeleton brocades.
We go a bit mad for Halloween here, but it's all such fun.
Those house blogs are really fun ánd wonderful and so is Tamzin’s quilt! What’s wrong with a good dump?! I hope you will have a lot of fun making the Halloween quilt. It’s such a shame we don’t celebrate Halloween like you do!
Well done you on getting Tamzin's quilt top finished! And where better to dump than in cyberspace where it does no harm? And you get support. All for free?
Have fun with Halloween!
