Stashbuster Topic of the Week - My Dream Quilt

Please forgive me. I know I'm going on and on this week, but the weather is yuk. Despite what the Weather Girl says I am not in shorts and T shirt and am waiting for the grass to dry out before mowing (again). So my dream quilt is one of the first quilts I saw when I first started this blogging lark. It's right here on Tonya's blog. This is what converted me to free piecing cos it is sooooo gorgeous.

That is a great quilt! My favorite Tonya quilt is her blue and white wonky houses!

Sorry the weather is so gloomy :(

You are so incredibly sweet. I had no idea you were this fond of this quilt. You'll hopefully get to see this quilt in person before too long!

Great quilt. And that is what your aunt's quilt is fashioned after?

Shame the weather is not to your liking. Don't worry, as I complain all the time when it is really hot and humid. It is lovely now. I am in shorts and tshirt, and it is only one month til winter starts!

I know what you mean about yuk weather -- I've been awful about commenting and reading lately but I love your aunt's quilt. I am jealous about the ballooning -- there was a field near my home as a child that was a frequent launching point for hot air balloons. I always wanted to get in one and sail away, it looked like such fun!

Sorry the weather's not doing you any favours. Ironically it's been warm and sunny here, and we are heading into winter!

Tonya's quilt is marvelous, as is the one you made for your Aunt! After I finish my WIP and my UFO's I plan on starting a free piecing quilt myself, It seems I've been seeing more and more lately and I am looking forward to making one myself! I hope the weather is better for ya! It's finally sunny and warming up here in Ohio!

I'd say you are well on your way to being able to do this dream quilt. The letters you did on your first qilt look wonderful.

And who said there was anything wrong with quilting them in the ditch? Whatever works best for you on a quilt is absolutely the correct thing for you to do.
