This is a beautiful quilt and the backing is gorgeous. Sorry, no quilting advice here either. You could choose some kind of straight line quilting, or maybe echo quilt it which would require lots of turns. Meandering would be good if you can do free motion. You could choose a motif to put on all the blocks, or a different motif on each block. See, how helpful I am?
As far as the quilting goes, I would match the color. White on the white and red on the red. If you've never done any machine quilting before then stick with the simple meander - still matching the color thread to the color fabric, either white or red.
I love the quilt but adore the backing fabric, is 5 Euros a bit like 5 US dollars/ If it is it was a steal! I just stitch in the ditch and often use a monofilament thread that matches all fabrics.

If the waddding you have used is OK for several inches between quilting you could tie the quilt with a nice red thread.
You are doing such a great job. Sorry, Im no help with machine quilting whatsoever.
