At first glance I thought a caterpillar was hanging from the branch, but on closer inspection that seems part of the plant. No idea -- give me an F in botany.
At the risk of feeling really stupid when you say 'yes, it's the flower of the so-and-so-tree'. Is it a flower, or a group of insects? (Please don't laugh too much, I'm being imaginative).
An olive branch? Though I’ve never seen them bloom...?
