Fooling about with Blackcurrant Fool

You must be getting fed up with this (and I promise this is the last post on this subject until I have quilted it). Doesn't this look better?

  1. :-) the colour really livens it up

but the more important question is "do you like it?"...

  2. I like this better than any of the others! But I'm going to be a real pain and ask whether it might not look very cool with some of the border fabric showing up in appliques here and there over the quilt? It would tie it all together.

  3. I like it Clare...do you??? My eye
just moved back and forth across it
smoothly. I think you are on the
    right path with this!!

  5. I liked the persimmon too (I read that in a book - your wardrobe can be most adequate with black, grey, white and persimmon) but this cherry is cheery.
How do you get the watermark on your photos?

  8. I like this one the best. The red brightens it up a bit and you know that I'm all about bright. I never get sick of seeing other peoples' decision processes.

  10. Hi Clare,

I've been away from the computer for a while so I'm catching up. I hurt for you over the disappearance of your beautiful cat. Your fans are beautiful. I'm glad you are still blogging. Even if at times there is nothing quilt related to blog about, it's still nice to hear what life is like in your part of France. I would miss you if you quit. Your new blogspot page is fantastic. And the black and red borders are perfect for your quilt. Makes it pop.

  11. Oh what a difference the Red border makes, brings the whole quilt to life, as though someone had turned on a light. Look forward to seeing it completed now Clare.
