Borders "placed" to see how it will look and perhaps a pale lilac binding.
Even if I say so myself, I like it!
(Having looked at the photo again, perhaps the border shouldn't be black. How about orange?)
I love that wonky inner border!! As for the outer, I'm not sure. It seems so tame with that quilt. Are you going to show us photos of other options? I just love to see the design process!
I love the purple colors, it's very dramatic. For the border, I would use any shade in the purple family that shows and looks right. You have a lot of them in the quilt so it would just have to "look right" to my eye when I tried it out. I don't know which color. Do you seriously not like the black or are you teasing? It looks ok to me in the photo.

ReplyDeleteLove it Clare! Maybe you can use a purple shade for the borders?!
ReplyDeleteoragne always goes well with purple in my mind, but is there some reason you're looking to introduce a new colour at this point?
ReplyDeleteI love it as it is - but then orange is my least favourite colour - probably stems from my baked bean phobia so I am biased.
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice the way it is to me but I am a big fan of black with brights.
ReplyDeletelooking great!
ReplyDeleteI like it too *VBS* Congrats on coming back over to blogspot. Hope all is well with you, thanks for the moral support. Sending hugs, Finn
