I read the book - I was finishing it on my tea break at work one night (couldn't put it down), and by the end I was sobbing. Luckily a few of the others had read it too.
You must must must get the DVD and watch it right through. I have that, the book, and have listened to the talking book in the car. OMG that was a mistake. By the time I reached work one day I was a sobbing mess. Try to get the talking book from the library and listen to it whilst you sew, now there's an idea. It is read absolutely marvellously.
