Busy Busy Busy

Oh what a lot going on and not enough hours in the day to do it!

I've been gazing at the Abstract Fabric and deciding how to quilt it. I thought about quilting every section in its own colour. I've got black, red, dark blue, yellow and white quilting thread and have now added grey to the collection.

Then I read Tonya's blog about her Blooming Horrors quilt she is making and how she is quilting it in a combination of embroidery and hand quilting with different threads. I've got loads of embroidery floss in various colours so I think I'm going to follow suit. Just have to see what occurs.

Clare, I can't get the picture of your Abstract Fabric to work. Don't know if that's just me or if it's the link. sounds like a great quilting plan - just wing it and have fun.

It's good to try and do something like this 'outside the box' so to speak - challenges your brain and extends your usual guidelines

It's abstract so don't overthink the quilting! And enjoy! Go crazy!

I'm enjoying embroidering a doll size crazy quilt and in my research looking for stitches I've come across a bunch that are used for hand quilting. I think this will be a perfect accent to this hand dyed piece.
