Miserable Mardi Matin

As I said yesterday, we have been having Magic trouble. Laboured breathing, coughing like mad and generally Not At All Well. Yesterday showed a slight improvement and by the end of the day she was eating and drinking and demanding, in a rather croaky way, To Go Outside Now. So we let her, thinking she would come back in at bedtime. She didn't. Oh well, she'll come in through the Magic Entrance in Alex's bedroom sometime during the night. She didn't. Calling and calling this morning did not bring a result so I feared the worst and was just getting to the "how am I going to tell Alex" stage, in between a few quiet sobs. I stopped trying to wake the neighbourhood and tried again a couple of hours ago. There was a croaky miaow and round the corner she came wearing her "Do stop shouting woman, I'm here" look. Oh the relief!

I'm so glad you have your Magic back.....the helpless feeling of not knowing where they are is awful. Glad it's over for you!

Isn't it just like a cat -- make you worry then look at you as though you are out of your mind. Glad she came back and that she is feeling better.

Sounds like a vet visit is in order....poor dear. Glad she came home! We just got over a months worth of doggy illness and all is well now...knock on wood!

Hi Clare - after you suggested it when we were talking about books I picked up a copy of 'The Lovely Bones' when I spotted it in the supermarket the other day - read it almost in one sitting - excellent if a little strange at first - so glad she got him with the icicle in the end - thanks for the recommendation :o)

Oh I am so glad she came back. They can be so crazy. One of mine got out once for three days, I found him because he finally meowed, probably because he was hungry.

Clare, I'm so happy to hear that Magic is back and well! Two other bloggers have just reported that their indoor/outdoor cats did not have the same good luck as Magic. How sad and how very preventable.

I'm so glad that Magic is safely back home. I'm becoming attached to everyone's pets on this ring!

Don't they just scare us to death, like that. And the feeling of relief is so overwhelming when they show up, so nonchalant and asking for a treat. Magic looks so much like my ChoCho, evidently, acts like him, too.
