Have I broken the jinx?

The quilt for Sophie She hasn't been doing too well recently so this should cheer her up. It will start its journey on Monday. I also managed to do 2 more squares for the string project yesterday so perhaps the jinx has been broken. Thanks for all your lovely comments and for the support and encouragement. You are all a great bunch! Oh my goodness - that photo is awful. Please be patient. I will try to upload a better one tomorrow. That's better!

Sophie's quilt looks really good Clare - I hope it will give har a real lift. I love all your old stitching things in your last post - none of my relatives have really been into stitching as far as I know, my mum knits and her mum knitted before her but that's all, so I don't have any elderly treasures except somewhere I do have an old tatting shuttle given me by the lady who taught me she was 80+ when I was 13 so it's probably quite an age but it wasn't particularly ornate. It is lovely to have things from previous generations especially if it's something you're also interested in.

Sophie's quilt has come out really well. It must look good close up too, because although from a distance all the whites look plain, I'll bet a lot of them have little white-on-white patterns on them.

Sophie's quilt is stunning. I'm sure she will love it.

Thanks for sharing the memories from your grandma. I wish I could have gotten some of my grandma's sewing items. I wonder if my brother still has her stuff in his basement.

Sophie's quilt looks great, Clare. Fun to see one of my blocks in there, too!

Also loved the post on how you came to the Dordogne...
