160+ down to 50
Hi all. I'm trying to catch up on all the blogs. I down from 160 odd to 50 which ain't bad.
I am reading you all, I just haven't got the time to leave a trail of comments and my connection is reallllllllly slooowwww :-(
Back onto the quilting - only two more blocks and the border to go and then I can bind it - yea ha!
I tried Tonya's Fantabulous Fans on one block. I surprised myself with how well they turned out. Photos will be uploaded as soon as connection speed has gone up a bit!

Hi Claire, I hope your connection improves! Sometimes my high speed is slower than a dial up over here too. Just wanted to spread a little quilting gossip. The TV show, Simply Quilts, from the Home and Garden Channel here in the US is now available through DVD on Amazon. I just found out this morning and thought everybody over there might enjoy downloading a few episodes. They are selling them for US $1.99 each or the whole 2006 season for $200. I think you can purchase on DVD or download. I'll leave you with a link:

Also, I just heard that Ricky Tims will be a program host for a new quilting show that will air online from January of '07, sponsored by Bernina. I just bought his DVD, Grand Finale, and boy was it helpful!

Oops, so sorry, a little typo...the whole season is for US $20.00 (not $200.00)!
(I am on my way to Amish country next week and will post photos on my blog when I come back. Hopefully I will be able to find some beautiful scenary to photograph.)
